9 Weeks and first doctor appointment

How I am feeling:
I still feel really good, some small nausea points but nothing major.  I can still eat what I want and when I want. I am still hungry constantly, and feel like I can't feed Baby C enough! He/She definitely wants to eat constantly!

Sleep:
Still decent and still waking up to pee a lot!

Best Moment of the Week:
It didn't start out as our best moment, but it turned into one.  On Monday the 23rd, we had our first appointment with Dr. Wallner.  Like I said earlier, we choose a Family doctor vs OB due to my asthma.  We spent time talking about baby and our upcoming appointments, but we also spoke about my asthma.  One of my concern was coming up with a plan for if I have a flare up.  With my old doctor, she had prescribed me prednisone to have on hand in case I had a flare up.  I had spent to many times prior in urgent care and them not following my Asthma Action plan that she decided to not have me go there but to start prednisone right away and make an appointment to see her.  I talked with Dr. Wallner about this and she agreed that was a good plan to keep with, although she said I don't need to see her each time, unless I am not getting better with the prednisone. So after that we were going to listen to the heartbeat.  She did state that we may not hear it, since we are 9 weeks.  Like she thought, we had a hard time finding the heartbeat.  She was a bit concerned, since I haven't been sick and when we had our 6 week ultrasound the heartbeat was 109.  She said 109 isn't super low, but it is lower then they typically want to see.  She ordered us to go get another Ultrasound to make sure that everything.  Of course I start thinking the worst, and Tavid was telling me not to worry, that everything is fine.  Regardless, impossible to not think the worst! When I got up Tuesday I called right away to try to get in that day, we were able to get in at 9:30am.  A huge sigh a relief when we could see baby, hear the heartbeat (146!) and even saw baby move on it's own!  Baby is measuring great! So now you can see why it started out as not a good moment but quickly turned into the best moment!!

Another great moment, was finally going public with our news! our Dr said that after the ultrasound if everything looked great, we can put it out there! So we went for it!  Here is how we announced! :)

Cravings:
Still everything! haha No food is off limits (except seafood, gross!)

Memorial weekend was pretty uneventful for us, Tavid had to work Saturday and Sunday so i was primarily on my own for the weekend. On Saturday Missy and I went to the craft show in Waseca, didn't find much but I did find an old ladder that I am going to paint to go in babys room! After the craft show, we went to Famous Daves for lunch and then hit the Medford Outlet mall.  On Sunday, I enjoyed a day of nothing, it was a great day to catch up on sleep! Monday was filled with errands, and chores at home.

8 Weeks

How I am feeling:
Still feel really good, minus the Fatigue.  It hits hard by the afternoon and I am down and out for the count when I get home from work.  I have learned that if there are things I want to get done at home on the weekends I have to get up and get them done, or they wont get done!

Sleep:
Sleep is still going well, no complaints here yet!

Best Moment of the Week:
It was another busy week, and lots of great moments!!  On Saturday I went up to Roseville to meet Mama B (my former boss from my Augsburg days, who has always been like a second mom) and Shonna for breakfast. I wanted to tell as many people as I could in person, and thankfully we have all talked about getting together for a long time that they didn't think much of it! We met for breakfast at the Original Pancake House (yummy!) and shortly after sitting down I let the cat out of the bag! The surprise was epic, Momma B screamed and the whole restaurant looked at us! It was epic haha, I figured some kind of reaction like that would happen! It was so great to catch up with them and of course talk baby!

After breakfast I headed home for Aza and Liams dance recital! When we walked into the high school, I told Tavid that if we have a little girl (or even boy) that this was our future! haha I don't think he is quite ready for sparkly costumes and hairspray! (Liam wasn't feeling a picture after the recital!)

On Sunday, Katie and I headed up to the cities for our old Youth Director Jay's graduation from Luther Seminary with his Doctorate in Ministry! It was so great to see him and his family again! Of course it wasn't enough time to catch up, but it was better then nothing!  We also ate chipotle before the ceremony, and it was delicious!

Cravings:
Food in general! haha I haven't really been craving anything specific. I have been eating a lot of Grapes, bananas, yogurt, carrots and ranch dip. Other then seafood (which i didn't like even before I was pregnant) I am eating anything!

7 Weeks

7 Weeks!  Wow, this was a busy week!

How I am feeling:
I still haven't gotten sick *knock on wood!* and I hope it continues this way! Fatigue has probably been my biggest pregnancy symptom, as well as how I can't seem to eat enough! I come home from work most nights and am sound asleep by 8pm. Which leaves Tavid to pick up a lot of slack, but he doesn't seem to mind a lot, which I appreciate! I am eating regularly every few hours.  I am trying to make good choice, as I want to make sure to keep my weight in control, but sometimes baby wants what baby wants and I give in! I mean I gotta enjoy this a little bit right :). My goal is once I get past the fatigue to get back into the gym, and to get our  bikes out and ride as much as we can this summer.

Sleep:
Other then getting up to pee regularly, sleep hasn't been bad! I am trying to soak in as much sleep as I can while I can! :)

Best moment of the week:
Celebrating my first mothers day, Tavid made it pretty special! He made me breakfast, picked out some great things for baby and made delicious tri tip for dinner! We also made our rounds to the mothers to give them their gifts. It was a great mothers day! I can't believe that next year we will have our little one to celebrate with!

The week was a busy one for me at work, we had our graduation commencement on Friday, and it was a long day! But it was worth it to get to see some of my students reach a goal and to see one of my best friends accomplish her goal!

So proud of these laides and all of our students for graduating!

On Saturday, myself, Cassie and Katie headed up to Maple Grove to meet Missy to celebrate her birthday! She wanted to go shopping and to eat at Benihana.  I LOVE Benihana! One of my favorite places!! Cassie and I deicded to get some shirts made that said "Running Buddy" on them down on the belly to be able to announce that we are both pregnant! When we showed them, Katie got it right away, but it took Missy a little bit! :) They were both excited! I didn't get a picture of the shirts, but here is one of us girls at Benihana.

When I got home I had received a belly box.  My first thought was that I had signed up for something, but after finally locating the package slip I found that my amazing friend Marette had sent it to me! It has a ton of great items in it that will be useful throughout my pregnancy! Especially the waist extenders! Those will come in handy with my dress pants!

Cravings:
Nothing too specific, I can eat for days!

I can't believe how fast this are going already, before we know it, Christmas will be here and we will be anxiously awaiting the arrival of Baby Caswell!

6 Weeks and our first Ultrasound!

I can't believe that 6 weeks has come and gone! I really have had a great pregnancy so far, I haven't been sick and have only had a few days of nausea. I am grateful and hopeful that it will stay this way! As of April 30th, we are officially 6 weeks.

I am not showing much (other then my belly from before! haha). During week 6 I ran a Half Marathon Relay, well ran is really an understatement I walked more then run haha. After this race I decided no more planned runnning, I got winded so fast and figure there are lots of other cardio that I can do that is much less impact on my lungs! I am hoping to get my bike out soon and do that most of the summer into the fall! Farewell running, I will see you next year! :)

How I am feeling:
I feel pretty good, like I said above a few days pop up with nausea but other then that I feel good! I am able to eat but I do tend to get fuller faster and I have to eat more regularly! I also have to pee a lot! How can something that small already do so many things to me! Haha I order some preggie pops that a few pregger friends suggested. I figured I better have them on hand just in case I do get sick! I haven't had to use a lot of them, but a few times they have come in handy! I also used them on my run.

Sleep:
Sleep isn't the best but it isn't the worst.  I had a friend tell me to get the snoogle right away, so I ordered it and it came! It does make quite the difference! However, I am still waking up often to go to the bathroom.

Best Moment of the week:
I would say the best moment this week was our ultrasound! Like I said in an earlier post, we weren't suppose to have an ultrasound but when we shared our concerns with our doctor she ordered one for us.  There is nothing wrong, but we just selfishly want to see our baby and hear its heartbeat! The heartbeat was 109 and it was pretty crazy what we could see on the ultrasound! She had warned us that it could still be pretty early and we may not see much.  I was glad she was wrong, it was amazing to hear the heartbeat! Tavid was grinning from ear to ear!

We also told my cousins the exciting news! I decided I wanted to tell them in person, and tried to organize as many of us to meet up for pizza in Austin at Steves.  Our grandparents used to take all of us there regularly.  A few weren't able to make it, but those that were, we pretty excited! I told the rest of them through a Facebook message!

Cravings:
I have gone from wanting salty to wanting sweet.  I have noticed that some sweet things get to be too much and just a taste is enough! Which is NOT normal for me, I LOVE Sweets! I have wanted French Onion Sun Chips, and let me tell you they are IMPOSSIBLE to find. I never found them except online but my craving wasn't that big that I needed to order them.  But maybe in the future! :) I also am loving ice cream, watermelon, green grapes, and pineapple!
